I have been feeling somewhat the same as you E. I've often heard the mantra that we need to keep momentum. What momentum, and to what end. My biggest concern is that the tea parties will be overplayed, and ultimately become meaningless.

However, today at the July 3rd tea party I saw roughly 1000 people attend. It is smaller than the tax day tea party, but still a large crowd. Bigger than I expected.

Today two candidates announced their running against Reid, and we heard from Dr. Heck who is challenging Gov. Gibbons. I also heard that the other Republican challenger, Montanden, made an appearance. Hopefully, these candidates will be able to learn from people, who aren't attending an event specifically for their campaign, exactly what the people want.

E, to me, the teaparties should build momentum from one to the next. In other words, July 4 should be bigger than April 15 was, and there is a national protest planned for Washington DC on 9/12. I am frustrated that even those who came out on 4/15 are numbed-out again. There is more fuel to the fire than ever before, with the cap and trade bill just passed and the health scare coming. Why is everyone just laying down after just one event? I don't get it, I'm still mad as hell, and the bigger and louder these events are, the less it can be ignored by the MSM and BO. The publicity IS the point. The commitment to run new and independent candidates IS the point. The teaparty for me was a confirmation that I am not alone and that thousands of others here in LV feel the same. Am I wrong?
