Hey saw earlier tonight on Fox News that Governor Palin was lobbying for the Stimulus package. What do you make of that?

I figure she (and she isn’t alone among the GOP Govs) is coming at this with shortfalls and having to keep the budget balanced.

Hm. Was she lobbying for just HER (Alaska’s) stuff, or for the whole bill in general? If so, I can’t say I agree. Anyone with 5 minutes to spare and two brain cells to rub together could start reading through the details and find a whole lotta OINKin’ goin’ on.

You know Fox said she was lobbying for yes votes, but they don’t claim a source for their info. Other places are saying she was talking about transportation $$, but not the pork in the plan which wouldn’t be that unusual for a governor to do.

It kind of caught me off guard since she was being criticized for not requesting more.

I guess we’ll have to wait for more info.
